Laura & The Growlithe As Laura thought which would be her Pokemon to beat the Elite Four, she remembered her and Growlithe. Once there was a girl called Laura. She was the littlest in her family. She had many siblings, and always heard how good of a Pokemon trainer they were. She couldn't wait until her 10th birthday. She thought she'd show everyone how good of a trainer she would be! Well, time passed, and soon enough, it was the day before her 10th birthday. She pondered all day long, Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle? Soon, it was midnight and she then fell asleep. She was so tired; she woke up, LATE. She was so anxious to get there, and see if there was one left, that she didn't even bother to take of her PJ's. She ran as fast as she could to Professor Oak's lab. She was too late. No Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle was there for her. She asked Professor Oak if there was anyone left for her? Luckily there was one left. "Growlithe." Prof. Said, " A fire-dog Pokemon. Growlithe is very rare, yet I found one on Cinnibar Island. I want you to have it." "Well, thank you Professor. I'd be glad to have him, or her." Prof. Oak laughed, " It's a him." He answered back. " Well, I'd better be going, I don't want to be any later than I already am." "Oh yes, and don't forget this: this Growlithe hates Pokeballs! Don't ever put him in there unless he faints." "I gotcha! See you when I'm a Pokemon Master!" "And don't forget to get clothes on!" he shouted, as I ran down his drive. "Heh, heh, sorry!" I shouted back. I ran into my house, and changed into clothes. Then, after saying goodbye, I ran out of the house, and started on my journey. "Well, Growlithe, the first thing we ought to do, is give you a nickname. No Fluffys or Rovers or anything like that. Just a plain ol' nickname. How about Growli?" "Growlithe, Lithe Growl!" (Ok, sounds good to me) "The second thing to do, is catch more (she trips over a stone) Ouch! What the?" (A stone hits her on the head and she hears the mocking laughter of Pikachus.) "Growli, attack" "Grrrrrrrrrowwwwwwwwwwlitheeeeeeee!" (I'll get that freak!!!) "Growli scratch it!" The scratch was effective, but didn't weaken it enough. Then Pikachu used its Thundershock, but Growli hung in there enough to use its ember. He got it weak enough for me to catch it, and I did. "Yay! We did it Growli!" "Growl Growl Growlithe!" (Yippee! You'll be a master before you know it!) And that's how I came to catch Pikachu. But just our luck, that Pikachu had a family, and they wanted him back! "Uh, Growli, d-d-o y-y-you s-see the-that?" I stammered. "Growlithe Growl Lithe!" (Ya, we better get outa here, and fast) "RUN!!!" I shouted. We ran as fast as we could, but it wasn't fast enough. Soon we were Crispy Critters lying on the ground. And who was standing over us, but the Pikachus themselves. I clearly did not know what we were going to do, until I saw a heard of Charmander. They attacked until the Pikachus were Crispier than us! After this, the Charmanders told us that those Pikachus were their enemy. So that's why they helped us. We thanked them, and they were about to leave, until they wanted us to do them a favor. I told them we were in a hurry, but they said I didn't have to wait. They wanted us to take a Charmander, Chardude, and raise him. It was Chardude's dream to be the Pokemon of a Master, and to help beat the Elite Four. The Charmanders told us that they thought I would do that for him. Help accomplish his dream. I thanked them, and told them that it would be my pleasure, and hurried on. I rushed Growli and Pikachu to the nearest Pokemon Center to get healed. And they did. We started out again, and came to something-called Squirtle's Pond. We met a man sitting by the side, sleeping. Growli barked, and woke him up. He gave us his "Super Rod" and told us to try our luck with it. And that is just what we did. I cast the line, and suddenly it pulled down. I reeled it in as fast as I could. It was a Goldeen. Since I knew water-types are weak against electric ones, I sent out Pikachu, who I called Piki. She used thunder shock, and Goldeen was flambé fish! I quickly took out my Pokeball and threw it. "YES! WE CAUGHT A GOLDEEN!" I screamed. By now it was getting late, so we set up a tent to sleep in, by the lake. In the middle of the night, it started thunder storming, and we all woke up. Growli and Chardude were the most scared, because they were fire-type. I knew we couldn't stay here all day, we would have to find shelter. I considered putting Growli in a Pokeball, but I remember Prof. Oak's words: "Never put him in a Pokeball unless he faints." I asked Growli and he said it would be ok, but just until we got to the center. Just our luck, on our way, lightning hit a tree, and it fell across our path. We had just turned around, when lightning hit another tree, and it was there. Great, I thought, just great! I mean maybe, if it weren't thunder storming, it would be a little better! So I decided to think of something while we were stuck. I know, I thought, Goldeen won't mind the rain, and she could use her horn to drill a hole in the tree in front of us. So that's what I did. I had a little trouble squeezing through, but at least we would soon be out of the rain. It seemed like forever until we got to the center. By then I was soaked, my raincoat, shirt, pants, socks, shoes, hair, skin, and even my underwear was soaked. Nurse Joy could clearly see what bad state we were in, so she gave me dry clothes, as she dried my old ones. She gave us a bed and some chicken noodle soup to warm up in. Unfortunately, all day it stormed. So we left the next day. Those were the good ol' days, Laura thought, as she took Growlithe from her belt. "I choose as my Pokemon; Charizard, Growlithe, Raichu, Jolteon, Farfetch'd, and Sandslash." I yelled to Laureli. "My Pokemon will be: Lapras, Jynx, Tentacruel, Blastoise, and Starmie." He yelled back."Go Lapras!" he yelled."Go Raichu!" I shouted. "Water Gun" "Thunderbolt" "Bubble" "Thunder" And there went Lapras. "Jynx Go!" "Raichu, stay there, keep going!" "Thunder" "Lovely Kiss" and then Raichu fell asleep. But not for long, as I played my Pokeflute. "Raichu Thunder again" "Jynx, Blizzard" "Raichu, Thunder!" And there went Jynx. "Go Tentacruel!" "Raichu Thunderbolt" "Ice beam" "Thunderbolt" "Bubble" "Thunderbolt" And there went Tentacruel. All of the trainers I beat as easily as this, except for Lance. It was time, for my final challenge. Would I beat Lance, and become a master, or Faint and loose? My fate would be decided in the next match. "Go Chardude!" "Go Dratini!" "Firespin!" "Thundershock" "Fireblast" "Thundershock again!" "Fly up into the air" "Try to hit it with your Thundershock up there" "Hit that Dratini with Fly!" And that's when Dratini fainted. Chardude was doing fine, so I didn't call him back. "Chardude, stay there!" "Go Dragonair!" "Fireblast!" "Hyperbeam" "Chardude, WATCH OUT FOR THAT HYPERBEAM!" too late. It hit. "CHARDUDE! Oh, are you alright!" Chardude was looking pretty bad, but I know he wanted to fight, so I gave him a hyper potion. Almost all of his HP was back. "Chardude, Firespin him!" "Oh no, Dragonair has to recharge! Shoot!" "Chardude, Fireblast!" And there went Dragonair. "All right," Lance said, " Your precious Chardude ain't gonna win this round!" "Oh yea?" "Yea! Gyrados, GO!" "Yikes," I muttered to Chardude, "maybe he's right!" "All right Chardude, use your RAGE ATTACK!" "Gyrados, Hydro Pump!" "Noooooooooooooooo, CHARDUDE WATCH OUT!" Too late, it hit. And there went Chardude. "Hah, I don't have to worry about stupid little Chardude no more! Hahahahahahahahahaha!" "You ain't gonna win this round either! RAICHU GO GET THAT THING!" "Yikes! It's a Raichu! Don't worry about it, Gyrados, use, um, use..." "THUNDER ATTACK""Gyrados, NO" And there went Gyrados. "Grrrrr... You won that round, but you ain't a master yet!" "Go Dragonair!" "Oh yeah I'm gonna win! You just watch me! Raichu, Seismic Toss 'em 'till he faints." And that's Just what she did. "Hah, now you face my Dragonite. See if you win! GO DRAGONITE!" "Oh yeah, Raichu, uh, Thunder." "Dragonite, Hyper Beam!" "NOOOOOOOOOooooo! Watch it Raichu" Too late. There went Raichu. I had one Pokemon left, Growli. Faithful Growli would win this for me!" "Goooo Growli!" "Hah, a puny Growlithe, you are so Pathetic Laura! You're as pathetic as your sister, Tasha!" "Oh yea?" "Yea!" "Oh yea?" "Yea!" "Well, I think you're gonna think different when I win!" "You? Win? Hahahahahahahahahahah! That's the funniest thing I've EVER heard!" "Growli, Double Team!""Dragonite, use, uh, NO, HE HAS TO RECHARGE!" "Growli, TAKE DOWN NOW!""Dragonite, use Hyperbeam!" "No, you stupid, wrong Growli! Uh, were never gonna win this way!" "Growli, TAKE DOWN AGAIN!" "Dragonite, uh use whatever you can, just faint the darn thing" "Growli, TAKE DOWN ONCE MORE!" And there went Dragonite! I won! I have never been as happy as I have been that day. Me and Growli jumped up and down. I praised all of my Pokemon, and we lived happily ever after for the rest of our lives. THE END!!!!!
